"Wah, wah, wah!!! (Vietnamese woman yellin)" I opened my eyes and it was not a dream. There is a woman below my bedroom window yelling at someone. These windows here are not insulated like the one in the states. They just have one thing layer. Anyway, her madness is over and i leaned over to get my phone to check the time because it's pretty bright outside and it's only 6am...wtf!!!
It's 8:20am and just got back from pho. It's was ok, so far the one in Saigon is better. We walked to the pho place it's a dew blocks away. The weather today is cooler and dreary but it wasnt too bad for walking. The traffic here is much calmer and not chaotic like it was in saigon. The people here are seem to be nicer too. I also just finished Facetiming the fam. It was great to to actually see their faces...me luv FaceTime, very nice! I'm just sitting here chilling and drinking ice coffee with my cousin Huy ( different Huy) and with Wifi. Man! The coffee is strong!
It's 11:20pm I just got back from taking a little walk around with Huy (see pix). We're currently at my uncle's place and getting ready for lunch...mmm yum! Ahhhh, another satisfy customer :). Oh, I was eating and looked up and happened to see a lizard crawling across the ceiling (see pix). I'm just chilling on a wood recline chair, very cool!
It's 3:30pm and we just got back from from visiting my grandma (my mom's mother) resting place. It was my first time seeing her since I left Vietnam and first time ever being in a cemetery. It was a bitter sweet I guess since I wasn't able to come home for her funeral. She passed away the end of my first year in college. We were pretty close :(. I used to go with her to her shop and helped her sell clothes and such. Well, i'll probably caused more trouble then help :). At lunch i used to go and get rice and pork for us. She is greatly missed :(.
So when we were at the cemetery, It was pretty cool that they have most of the relatives in one section ( see pix). We then went to see a pagoda on top of a mountain over seen the city of Tuy Hoa. The view was spectacular just see the pix because my limit vocab won't do justice.
Side note - As we were in the taxi, I looked up and saw the whole ceiling was wrap in plastic...thing that make you go hmmm?
It's 5pm and we just got back from an official tour of Tuy Hoa by my uncle. We drove around town for around two hours. We saw the beach, good part of the city, poor part of the city. I wanted to see my elementary school but didn't get a chance :( but over all it was nice!
It's 8:30pm and we are back at the house. We had dinner around 7pm at my uncle's place. Everything was delicious, I know, it's a running theme every time I mentioned food.
I'm getting ready for bed because we are leaving around 7am tomorrow to go to where I grew up. The city is smaller then Tuy Hoa. I'm hoping that I could see the house that I grew up in.
To be continue...

So I like how you have a picture of a cow then a bowl of beef noodle soup and what about the hot blue slippers...what brand are those? The statue of "Kwan yin" looks amazing...I miss going to the temple, reminds me of my hometown. Aaah lizard...don't miss that.
