Vietnam trip - Day 17 (12/17/11)

Guess what, I didn't get up at 7am or 8am. I got up at the 6:20am but didn't get out of bed. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't because of the wind. The wind is pretty loud being on the 7th floor unlike the window in the US, they pretty much suck here! So I dragged myself out of bed around 7, took a shower by 7:30amy cousin was already here. We dashed out around 8am and met with other relatives for breakfast. We had bun bo hue and a fatty that I am, I had 2 bowls (see pix) :). You guys definitely will not recognize me now. To quote Adam "you may need to buy two seats on the ride home."
I had no regrets eating that two bowls :). After breakfast, we went a to a place where they placed big pieces boulders on the beach so you can walk out and look at the surrounding landscape, it was pretty cool. For the rock climbers, check out my rock climbing skills (see pix).
We hang there for an hour so and went to see a Pagoda. This one wasn't as big as the one in Tuy Hoa but still beautiful to see. I saw a lot of white folks but mostly European. Foreigners love Nha Trang, i mean why wouldn't they, it's warm, pretty and cheap :). Then my cousin took us to see the villa that the last king of Vietnam stayed in. From what my cousin said, this king was the last king of the Nguyen dynasty, he was number 13th. I guess the family didn't know about the unlucky number 13th :). Here is the proof that I'm loyalty so please treat me accordingly please. I don't need anything just call me King Hoang :).
After learning my loyalty history, i showed the people there my id an summoned the people there to treat me accordingly and they did what i expected, they showed me the door :). So i took a cab and got some veggies. After lunch, we went back to the hotel and I crashed, it was a nice long 2.5 hrs nap. I got up and around 3pm. My cousin came picked me up and we just drive around town. Nha Trang is a lot bigger than Tuy Hoa so riding on the moped was an experience. Traffic was coming all directions, you have mopeds, big cars, small cars and big trucks. I was suprised that I didn't see any accident. So we drove around and then picked up two Vietnamese sandwiches. It was a disappointment, Tuy Hoa was better.
Anyway, we met up with my parents at a fancy restaurant called Len Palace. They service was pretty good but the food was meh.
It's 9pm and I'm in my room relaxing. I'm trying to learn some Vietnamese but It's hard to find a channel that speak Vietnamese and has English subtitle :).
To be continue...
