This is my first time flying on a 777, well second time. The first was when I can over to the states and don't remember anything about it. I didnt know it was that big. You know when you get on a plane, you always go to the right but on 777 you can go right or left to your seats. Our seats were toward the back of the plane and when I looked down the isle, I can't see the cotpit.
So before the flight took off, I heard a sound coming a few rows in front of me. It sounds like a crying baby. It only last like second so I thought nothing of it. Around 15-20 minutes after taking off, I heard it again and it was indeed a crying baby. It was a baby girl around 5-6 months. I was like, "oh great this should be interesting" because after hearing Mr. Wildman's story about his kid and their flight to Ireland or was it England? I guess they're the same ( haha...just for you OMD). However, the baby can cry all she wants, cus you know why? I have my noise cancellation headphone...oh yeah!
Anyway after 20 mins or so the captain said you are now free to move around. My dad unzipped his backpack and pulled out some sticking rice and kimchi bowl noodles. He started to hand them to me and asked if I wanted some. I gave him a "really? c'mon man" but not in a disrespected way look and said no thanks and i passed them on to the rest of the posses. Only Asian parents!
Btw, just heard from the captain, the flight will be around 14 hrs and we should land in Narita Japan @ 3:14pm local time.
The flight attendants are coming around with the drink and snack cart. I wonder what kind of snack we getting. Oh shit, rice cracker...my fav!
12:50pm and lunch is served. The meal I picked was rice (of course) with scallop and veggies. It wasn't too bad for airplane food. There also a side dish ( white food :)) which had roast beef, salmon, pickle cabbage and potato salad. I didn't touch it :)
For dessert, we have vanilla flavor Haagen- Dazs ice cream. Wow, so sweet...like me :)
They also came around with little bottles of red and white wine. I was about to take one but it was too early for Fun Bobby to come out and play.
Ahhh, lunch is done...a little satisfy but not totally. The reason being is that today is Thursday which mean pho day...hmmm pho. Btw, I don't think I can do my air floss (haha).
Ok, it's movie time and my first movie is Cowboys and Alien...I didn't finish the movie, 20 mins in I felt asleep. I was asleep for 3hrs. I wished that it was a try uninterrupted sleep.
Anyway, it's 5:10pm EST and we are passing over Alaska. We have 7+ hrs left to our destination.
It's 7pm EST and just finished watching "Horrible Bosses". It was ok, J. Anniston was hot though ;).
Now, watching "Returned of the Rising Apes".
Done with the movie, it was a meh of a movie. Anyway, the best part was while I was watching, I saw this passenger keep pressing on the monitor thinking it was a touch screen. He pressed one button and nothing happened so he pressed another and another one. He basically went through all six or seven buttons. Haha...this is not first class so use a remote, c'mon man!
It's 3:29pm local time an we just landed. I should be in bed cus it's 3:29am in NOVA :).
Second Flight: Japan to Vietnam
Now, we have to wait around 2 hrs more for our flight to Vietnam.
5:18pm japanese local time, we just boarding on a bus to take us to our plane. I think the flight is about 6 hrs...not liking that. I can't wait to get there.
It's 10:16pm vietnamese local time and we about 30 mins until away. I'm soooo tired!
It's 10:45pm and "we are there man". We had no problem going through custom. Oh wait, need to tell you my first encounter with the local (haha). So we went through custom and a gentleman greeted me because I went through first. He said something to me and I was like is that guy talking to me. So it came closer to him and he repeated the sentence but I didn't k ow what the hell he was asking? He repeated the 3rd time and it's still sound like "wah wah wah...". I was like "mom!" basically he was saying all passengers from US follow him. I didn't understand because his accent was I think from the north and I didn't understand shit!
Anyway, After we got our luggages, we went outside and it was a sea of people lining up and they are look the same :). I was like dang all this is for me? (haha)...j/k. People were just waiting for their relatives.
So as my mom made her way out first she saw our relatives. Btw, it was humid and i was very wearing sweats so I was sweating profusely!
We got to the house and I was ready for shower and go to bed. So I unpacked a little and went to take a shower. I walked in the bathroom and I was like where is the shower curtain and the door wasn't a real door with locks. It was just a sliding screen. Let Just say I helped the environment with my shower!
After my shower, I had my first home cook meal. It was goood. First I thought it was spicy noodle (bun no hue) but it wasn't. It could be spicy noodle but without the spice.
Time for bed!
