Vietnam Trip - Day 4

Woke up around 4:30am today and just laid there for I guess an hour or so and felt back asleep. I jolted out of bed thinking it was like 10am or so but it was just 7am...dang it! I got out of bed brushed my teeth and almost pulled my groin stepping into the bathtub. I'm not sure if I posted a pix of the bathtube but it's pretty high. I guess It's like running the 100 m huddles, You better stretch out before you step in because you might pull something. :)
So i stepped in and turned on the water. I turned the handle to the hot side and I waited and waited for the hot water but nothing...one word, shrinkage :).
After a cold shower, my aunt suggested me to go and eat some noodle soup down the street. I was like, oh yea, let's do this. So my mom and I went in the restaurant and she ordered the noodle soup sorry for got what it's called. That's ok because after eating it I don't want to remember. It was a total disappointment :(! But I'm a forgiving person, it might just be the restaurant that botched the dish. I might give it a try at another place.
Side note - Oh I forgot, has anyone seen a green orange before (see pix).

11:10am and I just finished lunch...I know I just at around 9am :). Around 12pm we will head to the airport to go to my home town Tuy Hoa. The flight is about an hour or so.
It's 12:01pm and we just got to the airport. As we are waiting here at the terminal for more people to show up. It's about 70-80 degree in here and most people are wearing long pants, long sleeves shirts and I see some people even wear jackets and sweaters! Oh wait wth? Why it's so bright suddenly? I saw a bright light out of the corner of my eye. I turned to see the source of light and it turned out to be 3 white people with shorts and tshirts :). Vietnam is a good place too get a tan. Ok, I'm not a fashion expert but i just saw a girl walked by wearing Uggs...too hot for that sh$t!
It's 1pm and we all just checked in so it's just a waiting game until 1:55pm, that's when we board.
What a disaster going through the security line for my dad. So he thought that the security here should be more lax then the one in the US. Oh He was wrong!
He did everything wrong. He gave his passport and tix to the security guard (TSA equivalent) and put his carrying through X-ray. My dad was waved through the medal detector and the alarm went off. They asked him to come back and asked him to take his belt off ( should of done that from the beginning...smh). He took it off and went through again and another beep went off. They asked him to come back and scanned his body and nothing. So they waved him through again and the alarm still went off. They scanned him again and realized it was his shoes. The holes where the laces go through have metal rings around them...omg! At this point, my dad was annoyed and the security people were annoyed. They waved him through again and no beep...oh thank goodness!!! After he got through, he told the group why do they need to be that thorough with old people. (Haha)
He could of avoided all of this if he would of just followed the same procedures as the one in the US...live and learn! Man traveling with this old crew is a trip.
I just went to the restroom and I don't think the people here are a big believer in washing hands with soap after using the bathroom...ewww! Thank goodness for my hand sanitizer!
Boarding the bus to my G5 :) and noticed there are a few people that look like Malaysians...man I'm trying but seem to can't get away from them, j/k :).
It's 3:16pm and we are about an hr away and I'm hungry...man I'm going to be fat by the time I'm done with this trip :).
We landed at Tuy Hoa airport around around 4pm. It's a small airport (see the pix). It was awesome seeing my aunt and uncle (my mom's bro). It was a little emotion for my aunt...it's good to see them again. We chatted for a few and of course ate some more. After a quick snack we went to my mom's friend house. This is where we will be staying. It a very nice place.
Anyway, It's time for me to get some rest so until next time...

  1. Yea, you can thank me later for the hand sanitizer. And how do you know they are Malaysians? You sound like an expert or I can't even say you are stereotyping cuz you wouldn't know :). Boy, I can't believe how much and often you are eating...You sure you'll fit the seat on the airplane when you come home :)
