It's 6 am and we are somewhere in Tuy Hoa. We are about an hour away from the train station. As for the train ride, sleep wise, it was 10 times better the going to Da Nang. I think I slept for 7 hours. It wasn't a straight 7 hrs but i didn't get up every 15 mins so I'll take it. Oh I forgot to mention, I was a little closersphobic when I laid down on the bunk bed. Like i mentioned before, the room is probably 6x7 no more than 7x7. There are 3 beds on each side and i got the middle bed. I got a little panic when laid down at first and lucky the door wasnt complete closed. It took me probably 40-45 mins before i felt asleep. You can just look at the pictures and see how small the room is. There is one picture where my foot almost touch the door. The train arrived at the station at 6:30am and I couldn't get off the train any faster. We took the cab back to my uncle's place and about to eat some breakfast. Ahhh, it's great to be home :).
It's 7:30am and I just finished my breakfast. I had bun bo hue ( spicy noodle soup...not too spicy), yummy!
It's 12:40pm and we just got to my uncle's place for lunch. We got back our place around 9am. I took a shower and went straight to bed. I napped for like 3 hrs, man I needed that nap. I'm just waiting for lunch to served :). Ahhh...Another satisfied customer, I had squid boiled served with ginger, another squid dish cooked with onions, broccolis and mushrooms, a fish dish and veggie soup.
It's 7:40pm and we just finished our dinner, we had some beef lau, I tell you what it is but first I need to recap what I did after lunch. So after lunch, we went to my uncle's friend place and hang out. His nephew, Minh, took me on his moped and we cruised around town. We stopped by a coffee shop and got some coffee, nice coffee. We stayed there for an hr or so and then cruised some more around town. In the states, if you see two guys ( cool guys) on a moped, they are either gay or dumb and dumber but it's common here :). We were cruising and I asked him what's a good banh mi (vietnamese sandwich) place here so went there and got 2 sandwiches. It was pretty good better than Nova but Saigon one is still better. After we finished eating, we got back to my uncle's place around 4:30pm. So back to the dinner, we had dinner around 6:30pm. I know, I just ate at 4:30pm :). Anyway, the beef lau were excellent. Here is how you eat it, we put a portable gas stove in the middle of the table and put a pot of broth (the broth is the key, it will make or break the dish). We boiled the broth and dipped the beef in it. We then rolled the beef with veggies in a rice paper and dipped it with fish sauce....omg, so good!
It's 8:30pm and we are back at our place and getting ready for bed. I'm going to have some pho tomorrow morning with Minh, can't wait...suppose to be the best pho in Tuy Hoa.
Stay tune for the verdict...:)
